TIMBER SALE – 84.27 acres, Old Hwy 64, Dunn Township, Franklin County, NC
NORTH BLOCK
• All Merchantable Timber – Clear-cut, 25± acres. Sale area designated with Pink-glo flagging.
• All Marked Timber – Streamside Management Zone, 14.6± acres. SMZ designated with Orange-glo flagging imprinted “Streamside Management Zone”. Cut only trees banded with BLUE paint.
• 1st thinning– Pine thinning, 33.4± acres. Sale area designated with Pink-glo flagging, except that adjoining all merchantable sale area, Orange-glo flagging. Harvest defective, diseased, crooked, and suppressed pine & hardwood; leaving the larger, more vigorous trees. The objective is to leave the larger, better-quality trees to a basal area of 60-70 sq. ft. per acre. Corridors shall be cut 50 feet apart (on center).
